2 members of an online gambling site arrested

Two members of an online gambling site with more than 50 million baht in circulation have been arrested separately in the provinces of Chiang Mai and Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Lt. Gen. Pol Amphon Buarabporn, Provincial Police Commissioner for Region 8, announced on Wednesday the arrest of the two suspects – Nirawit Chanthaphoon and Somsak Chernthong – on warrants issued by Phuket Provincial Court on March 25 this year. for collusion in the operation of an online gambling site. and persuade people directly or indirectly to bet.

The suspects seized 3.7 million baht, three title deeds, four land purchase documents, eight mobile phones and two computers.

The investigation revealed that the suspects were linked to the gambling website, https://789xbet.com, the chief of police region 8 said.

Mr Nirawit was arrested in Muang district in Chiang Mai on Tuesday while Mr Somsak was arrested in Hua Hin district in Prachuap Khiri Khan on the same day.

The two suspects admitted running the online gambling website for more than two years and having more than 50 million baht in circulation, according to Pol Lt Gen Amphon.
